Not Suitable for Quadrotriticale or Tribbles
Storage on a Starship, especially one as cramped as a Constitution Class with its compliment of 203, can be at a premium. Charged with five-year missions of exploration, it’s not well suited as a freighter, but it can occasionally carry some materiel from port to port. Cargo bays are well organized by division with crates prominently marked with the ship’s name and division symbol.
These storage cubes are one-third of a meter on a side, colored bulkhead-grey, and labeled so that any crewmember can easily recognize which division is in charge of its contents. They are collapsible so that when the storage cube is no longer needed, it can fold away so it doesn’t take up excess space.
The tops of these cubes are open so you can overfill them, but that makes them a less-than-ideal choice for keeping grain away from ravenous purring scallops of fur.
